The OM-90 protective mask is a professional military-grade protective mask that offers comprehensive protection against chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear (CBRN) hazards. Sizes:
The OM-90 protective mask is available in three different sizes to ensure an optimal fit and maximum protection for different face shapes. The sizes are based on the distance between the wearer's chin and the bridge of the nose (X/Y value in millimeters).

Size chart for the OM-90 protective mask:

Small 132–140 mm (small face size / children)

Medium 140–148 mm (universal size)

Large 148–156 mm (large face size)

The X/Y value for determining the correct size of the OM-90 gas mask is determined by measuring the distance between two anatomical points on the face:

1. Nasal (root of the nose): The highest point on the bridge of the nose where the nasal bones begin.
2. Gnathion (lower edge of the chin): The lowest point on the lower edge of the chin in the midline.

Procedure for measuring the X/Y value:

1. Measuring tool: Use a ruler, caliper, or tape measure with millimeter markings.
2. Measurement:

• Place the measuring tool at the root of the nose .
• Measure along the midline of the face to the bottom of the chin .
• Note the measured value in millimeters.

Compare the measured value with the size chart of the OM-90 mask:

• 132–140 mm: Size 1 (Small)
• 140–148 mm: Size 2 (Medium, universal)
• 148–156 mm: Size 3 (Large)

What is the difference between NBC protection and CBRN?

The outdated term "NBC protection" referred to protection against atomic, biological, and chemical hazards, but did not distinguish between nuclear and radioactive threats. Today, the more precise term "CBRN protection" is used internationally, which covers chemical (C), biological (B), radiological (R), and nuclear (N) hazards.
